Rusty Bowers, ARPA’s Government Relations Director and Candidate for Congressional District 1, has this to say for his latest from the campaign trail: “Wow – what an incredible adventure – and what a marvel that we still have the liberty of standing forth as candidates before our peers. We had a terrific time walking our “Clean up Congress” wheelbarrow in the Calvin Coolidge parade and meeting the kids and folks at the Republican booth. The trail ride on Green’s Peak and the wonderful program in Springerville, cattlemen meetings in the Sierra Anchas and on the top of Chevlon Butte (Wow, that is a story!), the Republican Trunk and Tusk and Mingus meetings in Prescott and Cottonwood, the trip from the Sedona town hall to Thatcher’s great little park (congrats to the young scout and his friends doing this Eagle project) and the business round table in Casa Grande. Then last (Wednesday) night to meet with some great Young Republicans at Embry – Riddle in Prescott – What great folks! And all the people and mayors and workers and wonderful people across the district – it is humbling to meet everyone and I am excited by your enthusiasm.
Reading John Shadegg’s post about the day-to-day shenanigans of the liberals, and the incredible leftward lunge this administration and those that support it have made, is sobering and close to frightening. But I believe in the hope that our ancestors showed when given opportunity to pursue their own manner of happiness. We don’t know how it will all work out, but we will WORK and MOVE FORWARD in reclaiming that hope for ourselves and our kids. I don’t want someone else taking care of my kids, I want them to get the shackles out of my way and let me take care of my kids. Thanks so much for your love and support! Let’s WIN!
