ARPA has partnered with the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME), the AZ Department of Mines and Mineral Resources (DMMR), and other industry stakeholders for the upcoming National Science Teachers Association’s Annual Convention being held on December 3-5, 2009.  Thanks to the generous donations of ARPA members, 1,500 kits consisting of 12 different rock and mineral samples will be given out to teachers to use as a tool in their classrooms.  Educating future generations about the rock products industry is a valuable part of sustaining the industry and a component of the Board’s strategic plan.
