Click here for the letter to ADEQ Director Ben Grumbles from the EPA regarding the exceptional events issue we face. As you are aware, the State and County believe exceptional events are the reason why we are not attaining at the air quality monitors, and more specifically at the West 43rd monitor. EPA disagrees with the State’s natural events findings and therefore, will likely disapprove our 5% Emissions Reduction Plan. EPA contends the 5% Plan has not worked or we would not continue to have violations at the monitors.
